Getting Started
What is GarmentBot and who is it for?
GarmentBot is an AI-powered production management platform built for garment manufacturers, cut-and-sew operations, textile producers, and apparel brands that manage their own production. It tracks orders, production stages, quality inspections, and shipments from purchase order to delivery. Whether you run a 20-person workshop or a multi-factory operation producing millions of units per year, GarmentBot replaces the spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and paper checklists that most factories still rely on.
How long does setup take?
Most factories are tracking their first production order within 30 minutes. You create an account, configure your production stages (or use our defaults for cut-and-sew operations), and enter or import your active orders. There is no hardware to install. GarmentBot runs in any browser on desktop, tablet, or phone — including tablets used on the factory floor for real-time output logging.
Can I import my existing orders and data?
Yes. GarmentBot supports bulk import via CSV and Excel for migrating your active order book. You can import purchase orders with full size-color breakdowns, buyer details, and delivery dates. Most factories complete their data migration in a single day. For Enterprise customers, we also support EDI import from major retailer portals.
Size Runs & Colorways
How does GarmentBot handle size runs?
GarmentBot supports fully configurable size runs — from simple S/M/L/XL to detailed numeric sizing (00-24), international sizing (EU/UK/US), and custom size scales. Every order is tracked at the size level, so you always know how many units of each size have been cut, sewn, inspected, and packed. Size-level tracking extends through quality inspection (measurement audits per size) and packing (carton assortment by size ratio).
Can I track multiple colorways per style?
Yes. Every style in GarmentBot supports unlimited colorways with independent tracking. Each colorway can be at a different production stage — for example, your navy units might be in sewing while your ivory units are still waiting on fabric delivery. Production dashboards show rollup totals and per-colorway breakdowns so you always know where things stand.
Does GarmentBot support assorted packing by size and color?
Yes. GarmentBot generates packing lists with configurable carton assortments — whether your buyer requires solid-color packs, size-ratio assortments, or pre-pack configurations. You define the assortment template once per buyer or PO, and GarmentBot calculates the carton counts and generates compliant packing lists and ASN (Advance Ship Notice) data.
Factory Audits & Compliance
How does GarmentBot help with factory audits?
GarmentBot maintains a centralized compliance document vault where you store all audit reports, certifications, corrective action plans, and supporting documentation. When a buyer or third-party auditor requests your WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, or SA8000 documentation, everything is organized and immediately accessible. The system also tracks certification expiration dates and sends renewal alerts so you never operate with lapsed credentials.
Does GarmentBot track sustainability certifications?
Yes. GarmentBot manages OEKO-TEX Standard 100, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycled Standard), ZDHC MRSL compliance, and other environmental certifications. You can attach certifications to specific materials, track scope and validity dates, and provide buyers with certification proof directly through the buyer status portal. This is increasingly critical as major retailers require documented sustainability compliance from their supply chain.
How are corrective action plans tracked?
When an audit finding requires a corrective action plan (CAP), GarmentBot tracks each finding with its severity level, root cause, corrective action, responsible person, deadline, and verification status. You can attach evidence photos and documents to each CAP item. The system sends reminders as deadlines approach and provides a summary view of all open CAP items across audits.
Customs & International Trade
Does GarmentBot help with customs documentation?
Yes. GarmentBot generates commercial invoices, packing lists, and supports bill of lading documentation for export shipments. Country-of-origin declarations are tracked per style, and the system maintains HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classifications for duty calculation. For factories exporting to the US, GarmentBot tracks CTPAT compliance requirements and can generate the documentation needed for customs clearance.
How does GarmentBot handle tariff and duty tracking?
GarmentBot stores HTS codes per style and calculates estimated duty costs based on declared values and destination country tariff schedules. This helps factories provide accurate landed-cost quotes to buyers and ensures commercial invoices reflect the correct classifications. Note that GarmentBot provides duty estimates for planning purposes — official customs classifications should be confirmed by a licensed customs broker.
Quality Control
What AQL inspection levels does GarmentBot support?
GarmentBot supports AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspection at all standard levels including 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, and 4.0. The system automatically calculates sample sizes based on lot quantity and inspection level, determines accept/reject numbers, and provides clear pass/fail results. You can configure default AQL levels per buyer (since different retailers have different requirements) and override per PO when needed.
Can I track defects by operator?
Yes. Inline inspection results can be linked to specific operators and sewing lines. GarmentBot tracks defect rates per operator over time, helping you identify training needs, recognize top performers, and address recurring quality issues at the source. Defect trending reports show patterns by defect type (e.g., skip stitch, broken stitch, measurement deviation) across operators, lines, and styles.
Billing & Plans
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features in that tier. No credit card is required to start. At the end of 14 days, you can choose a paid plan or your account will be paused (your data is preserved for 90 days so you can reactivate anytime).
Can I switch plans later?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to the new tier's features and pay a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your data is always preserved regardless of plan changes.
Is my production data secure?
Yes. GarmentBot uses bank-grade encryption for all data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Our infrastructure runs on SOC 2 compliant cloud providers. All production data, buyer information, and pricing details are isolated by organization and never shared with third parties. We understand that CMT costs, buyer relationships, and production volumes are competitively sensitive information, and we treat them accordingly.
